Winter Boost

Our immune system is the Holy Grail of health, especially during the colder season when most people suffer from colds and flu. It is important to strengthen and maintain our immune health. So apart from enough sleep, an all-round healthy diet, it also helps to add more warming and immune-boosting ingredients to our daily rituals, like this golden recipe below:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250ml oat milk (homemade or ready-made – if ready-made make sure it doesn’t contain any nasty emulsifiers)
  • 1 tsp Golden Turmeric Honey
  • ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 1 small fresh beetroot
  • 3 cm piece of ginger

DIRECTIONS:

Juice the beetroot and ginger, and add the juice and cayenne pepper to a mug. In the meantime heat the oat milk, until almost boiling. Add the hot oat milk to the mug and blend the mixture well with one teaspoon of Golden Turmeric Honey.

Immune boosting ingredients: Turmeric, Raw Honey, Coconut Oil, Ginger, Cayenne Pepper

Beetroot juice: Beetroot is a good source of iron and folate (naturally occurring folic acid). It also contains nitrates, betaine, magnesium and other antioxidants (notably betacyanin).
