We are letting out a big secret by sharing this recipe because our Rose and Tahini cookies are super popular in the Wunder Cafe in Mallorca.
However, with Valentine's on the way we thought we would share this gem so that you can share it with your loved ones.
What we like the most about the recipe is just how simple it is to get amazing results. It requires few ingredients, a very short baking time, and could be ready to eat in under 30 minutes!
So forget the last minute bouquet of roses, let's make cookies instead!
Here's what you'll need for 10 large cookies:
- 250g ground almonds
- 160g raw, smooth tahini
- 90g maple syrup
- 2g cardamom powder
- 2 tsp of rose extract (we use our Sacred Heart Rose Tincture or the Inner Voyage)
- a pinch of salt.
- Optional, sesame seeds for decoration.
Simply blend all of the ingredients well in a large mixing bowl then portion into 10 even shaped discs. You can add sesame seeds on top to give them a little extra texture.
Place them onto a baking sheet and put them into your pre-heated oven at 180C for 10-12 minutes.
Importantly - leave them to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to finish cooling completely.
